    No, it can't. That's like saying Lincoln was responsible for the turmoil in post Civil War days. Not everything, heck, hardly anything, can really be laid at the president's feet anymore.

    Then why did you worry so much over who won? I mean, you said he doesn't do anything?
    And it was Lincoln's fault, the way the country was put back together. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] If you take the time to look Abe's plan to fix the country was much better than what came about...all he needed to do was live. Some schools of thought suggest the re-construction and his plans were the reason he had to die. Booth might have been used.

    As with any organization, company, government, etc., regardless who screws up, the figurehead gets the blame, and rarely the credit.
